About the Single
“Ariadne’s Lullaby” is a Goudinaki original that was inspired by her niece Ariadne. Goudinaki’s skill as a composer is evident in her balance of form and development of the melody. The composition develops over time and is performed by Goudinaki in a solo format, with a nylon-strung guitar. Though the recording quality is a little crude, the emotion still rings clear and transfers beautifully. Goudinaki’s emotive style is immediately recognizable as unique and defined.
