Brandon Whitley Whiskey In Me Review
Brandon Whitley is a new sound on the country music scene. As a guitar-wielding frontman, this Georgia-born singer and songwriter brings in characteristics of a man reared and raised in the South. Those qualities are deep family ties, a strong foundation of faith, and a conviction that is evident in everything he does and every lyric he sings. Whitley’s music has elements of Rock, Blues, and Country, all woven together, resulting in a unique modern Country music landscape. Whitley left Georgia for Nashville, TN, to immerse himself in the rich network of artists and musicians singular to the aptly dubbed “Music City, USA.”
Whitley has released multiple singles since moving to Nashville; “Other Half,” “More Than A Few Shots,” and “Take It To The Bank” via the independent label, TruMuzik. Additionally, Whitley and TruMuzik have partnered with multi-genre DARE Records for the release of his brand-new music. First up is the contagious single, “Whiskey In Me.”
“Whiskey In Me” has lyrics about enjoying love’s moments, even when those moments might not last forever. Whitley’s charming singing is pleasant, bold, complex, and mature. The instruments supporting Whitley are mixed perfectly, and the guitar brings in the modern country sound.
“Whiskey In Me” is Whitley showing a voice and energy that is both relatable and instantly familiar. His tone fits the modern country sound, as does the songwriting style and lyrics. As with any whiskey, age makes it even better, and as Whitley’s career blossoms, this will be true for him too.
