About the Album
“Wading” is Blumberg’s latest single. The composition recalls her classical influences. She implements a melody-driven discipline in her composition style in which the central theme of the piece takes an unrivaled lead and establishes the character and mood with the harmony and other voices. She doesn’t let harmony or instrumentation overshadow the main communication of her work, which is to be found in the melody.

Our Favorite Track
“Wading” has a central theme that is presented by the piano as strings float in to support the melody. The instrumentation is light, but still maintains interest of color and a forward motion. The atmosphere created by the composition is one of calm and inner reflection. As the melodies drift in and out, the phrases breath with each musical statement within the form. Blumberg builds the composition to a wonderful climax and then relaxes into an unresolved cadence that is the perfect ending, which opens the mind and senses.

In Conclusion
“Wading,” is delicate, introspective and offers a pensive emotive. Blumberg’s touch on the piano is refined and resolute. The additive of strings is illuminated by her beautiful melody. Blumberg offers the listener an aural escape from the heavy burdens of daily life. Drink in each note as you feel your worries floating away, as you wade in its replenishing water of sound.
